Tyler Cheltenham

Last Friday we travelled to Cheltenham for the commonwealth games. When we got there I spotted all the games that we were going to do. There was high jump, sprint's and all this other stuff. Then the bell rang. We had to go and sit down by the class room and we got into groups and we had an adult that we had when we went around the games. First up we done shot put. I got in front of the line first. I got the heaviest ball. I got it so far you couldn't see it. Once we finished it mine was still in the front. So then we moved over to sprints. First we all had a race ... ready set go!!! We all ran. I was in  the front then Brooke passed me then George passed me and Derek but then no one else passed me and I got 4th. After that it was a boys only race and I came 3rd. Ring ring ring!!! The bell rang and we had to change places. We all sprinted over to high jump. We all took of our shoes and lined up. I was 3rd to line up ... Brooke then Derek then me. I got over. We all got to go around 3 times then the bell rang. The shooting was our last thing. When we got in there I saw little bow'n arrows made out of picks and on the white board there were little targets that were printed out of the computer. When I had my turn I got it on the green and that was out side the bull's eye. Ring ring ... everyone raced to the class room and we sat down and got our medals. I got a gold medal. Once we got our medals all the parents started to turn up. I was going with Dylan, Lauren and Josie. It was so awesome at Cheltenham.

Mr Mr Sunny

Mr Mr Sunny can never refuses polite request. He can never put down his friends no matter what they say he just does it. He never says NO e.g can you carry my back pack for me.   I think it is good Quaintly because its good to give a polite request and you get more friends.
Mr Mr Sunny is always busy because he always doing stuff for his friends and never does stuff for him.    Hes so busy because when he walks around the corner there's more people to help. Like when someone asked to find a needle in a hay stack but it was in his pocket. I think it's not good to be busy because you wont be able to do stuff for your self.

Mr Mr Sunny is always cheerful because if someone says can you be a flag for me he dose't say no your not my friend any more.
I think it is good quality because if someone asked to stand on him to put a nail in his roof and he gets squashed he doesn't mind. I think it is good to be cheerful because you can be happy all the time if you be like M Mr Sunny. I learnt from the book to always be happy and no matter what just go with the flow.

Skiing

I love skiing

Snow charging into your face
Snow getting down your pants
It's just the best

It's terrifying
Sailing up the chairlift
Rocking and feeling like ...
You'll rock off the chair

But you don't
Because ...
The safety bar is there

Once off the chair lift
I zoom down
Down the mountain
Like fire

I hit the bottom
And have to slow down
So I don't crash
Into everyone

Back up the chairlift I go!

 I love skiing

Tyler whanau group

After we were done making our music, the camp mums rolled and got our rolls for lunch.
When they left we walked back to the park and had a play. When our rolls came we all got to get a roll each. In my bun I had ham, tomato, cheese, lettuce and mayo. I enjoyed eating my bun because It was really yum and tasty. While we were having our buns Dylan, Derek and I tiptoed over to the slide. When we got up to the slide we went behind the slide so the camp mums and the teachers could not see us. Once we had finished our buns we slid down the slide.
When I was going down the slide I got a slide burn on my arm. It was stinging for a while but then it did not hurt so I kept on going down the slide. Once I got out of the slide Derek and I jogged to the swings. Derek beat me to the big swings so I had to go on the baby swings. Derek laughed at me that I had to go on the baby swings but I said, “It doesn't matter.” When we got up really high on the swings we jumped off the swing. I went higher than Derek. When we hit the ground Derek got a ground shock.
After that we went back on the slide. When we got up there we had to wait in the line. It was a pretty big line too! Then the last person went so I went down the slide. That time, when I hit the ground, I didn't get a ground shock. So we kept on going down the slide until I heard someone say, “Ouch!” It was just Huntah. He got a slide burn on his leg. Lots of his skin came off his leg but he wasn’t hurt.  Zahn was there with him so they went off and they went to the baby playground. Eventually I stumbled down the slide. Dylan was coming right behind me. I felt scared because he was coming down fast ... but suddenly I got to the bottom. I quickly got out of the slide ...
Neg minute ... Dylan came zooming down the slide out of nowhere. When Dylan got out he said to me, “Let’s go over to the swings and jump off the swings. So we sprinted over to the swings and we both got a swing each and we started to swing up high then higher then HIGHER ... until we got to the top. When we got to the top we could see the Bob Barker with its big hungry jaws on the front. So then we called down on to the ground for something.
After this Mrs fielder told us what to do Dylan and I zoomed back to the swings before no one else got to them. While we were running to the swings Dylan tripped over and hurt his arm but he was alright. So we kept on running to the swings. When we got on the swings Jackson came. over and asked if he could have a turn but we said, “We have just got on so can you please wait.”
He said, “Yes.”
The rubber on the swing felt like an old tractor tyre  Dylan said, “Look how high we can go!” So we started to push and push until we got higher. Then we jumped. We went so high and long, it was like we went as far as the sea. It was amazing. So then Mrs fielder called out to us and told us we were just about to leave. We sprinted over to Mrs Fielder and we got into our groups and started to leave. Our group was next to Dylan’s group. When we were walking back we saw some fish. They were darting through the water. We walked back to Capital e and that was our day

Tyler camp fav part

After our long exhausting time of music making we went and we found some seats. When we got over to the seats we got some muffins and started to look for the boat that we were going to go on.   As we were eating our muffins we watched the boat that we were going to go on.
Out of nowhere the boat came from behind another boat. There it was! It looked like a big pile of snow just sitting there in the crystal clear water. The boat looked like a big white mountain of wood. I was amazed how long it took for it to park up. It took for ever.
After we had our muffins we cruised over to the boat.Once he got over to the ramp we went over and we lined up ready to hop on.
“Hello Captain,” we said. Once we said it he said his name was called John. So one by one we hopped onto the boat. We said hello captain John because that was his name while we walked into the boat. When we got on the boat we had to sit down and John told us what to do to be safe on the boat. So he held up a life jacket and we had to say what it was called. So we all said life jacket at the same time incredibly.
After John told us what to do Dylan and I went up on to the front of the boat I looked over the side. When we started to go  Dylan, Derek and I went and we started to look for fish and little baby jelly fish. I saw little baby jelly fish as I started to look over the side.
We started to move. When we got out of all the boats we saw the police boat. It was just sitting there tied up with rope and string. There were loads of boats lined up in a line. Next to the police boat was a big red shiny towing boat that tows around all the small boats like dinges.
Then Dylan told me to come and get some grapes because there were some on the table in side the boat. When I got inside everyone was there next to the grapes eating them all. When I looked in the bowl they were just about all gone so I had to quickly get some grapes before they were all gone. After I had eaten some grapes we tried to find some fish jumping in the water. Then we heard one. It sounded like water splashing against the rocks so we turned around and it was a real fish jumping in the water! I hit Dylan on the shoulder to look at the fish. When he turned around he was like, “Wow I thought you were lying about seeing the fish. Wow they are so cool!” Then Nikki asked us what we were looking at and Dylan said we were looking at the fish.
“I can't see anything Dylan. They must be gone. It is amazing how long it took for them to swim away from us.”
So then Derek came and told us to come onto the front of the boat and look at all the houses because there were some pretty big houses on the hill. So Dylan and I went up on to the front of the boat to look at all the big houses. When we got up on the front of the boat just about everyone from Apiti was up on the front of the boat trying to look for fish. So Dylan, Derek, Jackson and I sat down and started to look at all the big and shiny boats.
Then we heard a noise. Captain John was going under a big water fall thing so we had to go inside the boat ... but Dylan and I didn’t go inside. We wanted to get wet! But when John went out of the waterfall the boat was all slippery and hard to walk on. When the sun came out it started to dry up and it was easier to walk on.
When we got back up on the front of the boat we were starting to drive.
Finally we came to end our boat trip so then John parked up and we all said thank you to John. We all hopped off the boat and he went back into the ocean.
