Steam trains visit Apiti

Puff Puff Honk Honk goes the 'Dirty girl' going down the road puffing out black smoke and tooting at me. It was amazing. I couldn't believe it when they saw Dylan and I. They stopped and they showed us all the different stuff inside the steam train. It was really cool. They showed us the fire and it was all black inside. Then we all had to go back and have lunch at school.    

Tyler's recount about skiing

Boom ! Suddenly I woke up knowing that I was going to be the champ of skiing ! So I was jumping around like a big kangaroo. I got my skiing stuff on. Then a minute later our friends and teacher came, so we hopped in the car with Amber in the back with me and then Jaycee, Zahn, and Huntah in the middle seats. Then our teacher and Mum in the front. So we drove off up to Ohakune. We stopped and had morning tea. We had enormous chocolate eclairs. Then we traveled up to the mountain.
We got all our gear on and then we got our skis and snow boards. We went off up the mountain. First I did the first bit. Then I went up the chair lift with Ben and we were rocking the the chair lift, hoping that the chair lift would go faster. Then we finally got there, at last. Meanwhile Jaycee was still figuring out how to ride a snow board, because it is really hard to ride a snow board. So Ben and I zoomed down the mountain. It was like we were in a giant ice cream bowl with giant chocolate chips. Then we stopped and had some food. After that I went up with Hannah and Charlotte. When we were going up, the people in front their chair lift made a noise and then I said, "Did you do a fart." Then we said good morning's to lots of people that went past. We were nearly there so we took off the bar and Hannah ran into me and then she dropped her pole. So the lady that was doing the chair lift got the pole for Hannah.
We traveled down a bit and we went up the pommel and Hannah and Charlotte went down the flat part and I went down the jumps. I did a 360 back flip and a 180. Hannah and Charlotte just went side to side because that is the only thing that they could do. So we had a long trip down the mountain. Then I was asking every one to see if they wanted to go up Moven pick with me. I was asking and asking but no one was saying that they wanted to go up with me. So I went up the mountain 4 more times, then I sneaked one more ride so that made it 5 rides.
When I was going up I saw Mum coming back down so I waved to her and she saw me and then she waved to me and that was fun. So I was still going up and then I saw Ben and Travis going down. They didn't hop off They just went up to have a look. You can just go up but not get off or you can go up and ski back down.
So I finally got up to the top and I went down. I was like a rocket when I was going down. I don't like going slow so I just go straight down because I like getting the wind in my face. So I went down the little one for my last bit of the day and I felt really proud of my self for going all the way up to Moven pick.
I just got back in time to give all our ski stuff back and then we all went to the car and we all changed and then we hopped in the car and we drove off.
We still had some food so we ate that food and then we stopped and we had some KFC for Dinner. I had a chicken wing, some chips, a bun and some potato and gravy. That was yum so we drove off again and we nearly fell asleep because we had had such a big day. All  our legs were tired and we were tired as well as our feet.
We are finally at Jaycee's house. We all had to hop out of the car because Jaycee was in the back back of the car. Then we got over the bridge so that means we were nearly at home. It was very dark when we were at home so was I the champ of skiing?   Well  ... yes I was.            
              

Tyler's kangaroo story

In the holidays I was walking along. Then I turned around and .. Bam. He kicked me and that was the end of that. It was kangaroo and his mates.They were black belted. Then I asked If he wanted to fight then he said yes. Then I got into the ring when he turned around I kicked him. Now that was the end of that for him. Then I went to the market. I saw space man and his mate David from out of space. They came because they were out bread, milk and sea food like crayfish. I talked to then and asked If I could come to space with them and they said yes!
S I went to space and that was the end of that.

Apiti's got talent

Right now we are getting for Apiti's got talent. My partner is Alex and we are doing "Party rock." It is a jump jam song. We are wearing a sparkly hat a dollar chain, black skinny jeans and a white tee shirt. We are quite good with our timing but our hats keep falling off so we need to make them stay on.      

walnut picking

On Tuesday, my group went up to the Pratt's house and we got some walnuts.  Mr Pratt got 30 into the bucket in one throw and Hannah got 29 walnut's and Brooke got ten and I got ten as well. There were lots and lots of walnuts.We had to move lots of leaves and sheep poo! We were eating nuts because we were getting nuts and they were yum. The nuts were not hard to crack at all for me. I like eating them and I like eating them with golden syrup.    






  

tyler's big story

I the holidays I went to the Apiti trial ride and I explored around round the kids track the I traveled up the muddy hills and to the sliprey creeks and the gravel rods went round with Wade and tony and was funny going around with them he was on his little KTM then we got back at the domane and I went on the Kids  track I was racing Jacob that was fun then we stopped for lunch that was delicious then we stopped and played in the sheep shed and we played tag and hide and seek that was fun then I went back on my motorbike I went zooming around the kids track then I played with Alex and Johnny we played a game of socker then i took my motorbike to the McDonald's house because I was staying the night at there house and then we played on the motorbikes before we went to sleep and we had raps for Dinner and then we went to bed and that was the story about the trail ride.        

Golf is fun now

The Oroua Golf  tournament was on the 16th of April. Our teacher was Karen. She taught us about golf. It was held at the Feilding golf club.Every Oroua school went. We drove in cars and we took transport. We took the Clarkes. When we got there and we sat down on the mat and listened to the teacher for what group we are in. David was in my group. Then we  played some golf. I got a hole in one. I enjoyed the day and it was really exciting.
